Make Something Monday Starts Now

Woohoo!  I got it to upload photos finally by going through Google Chrome.  So here is the empowerment for this make something Monday.

Your challenge:  Make a postcard.  Really, give it a try if you never have before.  Here is a set I made awhile ago, but I like to make postcards all the time.  They are quick and people tend to appreciate them no matter how lacking in art skills you think you are.

What could you create if you let go of the preconceived notions about your artistic abilities.  It's only taken me 3 years to let go and just make when I feel the desire!

  1. And how did you make this postcard? I'm thinking of doing some of that myself and have read a couple of tutorials but haven't tried it yet.

    1. rubber stamps, washi tape and stickers. It's really very easy. Just gab some blank note cards and start gluing things to them. That's how I started.

    2. You make it sound so easy! What kind of glue is best for that? I have a fear of an edge of paper sticking up and being ripped off during travel. I have several kinds of glue. Do you use mod podge?

    3. It is easy, getting a feel for it takes time. As far as glue, I use a good coating of the glue stick and if I am worried there are any catchy edges, I do a layer of tape. I have yet to experiment with modge podge, but I plan to over this next year. And if I am worried the glued parts won't stay and I don't want to tape, I throw it in an envelope and mail it!
